These are some common questions in oral exams. Before reading any further, think about how you coud best answer these questions. Try really hard. Imagine you’re taking the real test.

A city is larger than a town and it has a cathedral 🙂 , at least in the UK

Hi, Have found your article very good, but there is one point that I should clear up.
A city does have a cathedral, yes true, a city is bigger than a town, no, not always true.
I lived in a town called St Austell in Cornwall and our nearest city is Truro, some 25 to 30 miles away, but the population was smaller by around 5,000 to 6,000 people in the 70s & 80s, but now that may so changed as the major employer pulled out of there and so perhaps the population altered.
So it all depends on how you define bigger, by size or population.
