Oh my gosh! I just love this website. I bumped into ororo.tv quite by chance and I was like ooohh it has this one and aahhh and also this one. And needless to say, I have spent the little free time I have had these days- I am still doing oral exams in the morning and marking written exams in the afternoon /evening, not to mention the cleaning and cooking stuff- having a nice laugh with the boys of the Big Bang Theory, which I highly recommend.
So, what can ororo.tv do to help you improve your English? What will you find on this website??? An amazing number of TV shows and films in their original versions and with subtitles in English. Right now, I am hooked on the Big Bang Theory, a American sitcom, about four young scientists, but surely you’ll find attractive alternatives here to suit every taste and mood.

Today I want to share with you a new tool that could be quite useful when trying to add a touch of something to your classes. It is called
Capzles and it is a very popular site for creating interactive timelines. It is a great tool for several reasons but mainly because the timelines created with this tool let you use images, videos , pdfs …etc and it can also be embedded into a blog or a website.
Today I have used it to display some images containing vocabulary about the Environment but just as I am writing these lines , I am already thinking of other ways to use it, as being able to embed videos is a great feature and makes this tool highly recommendable.
I’m really stressed now. Internet has been down for three days and I only had it serviced this morning after countless phone calls to the company.
Preparing exams, marking exams, preparing classes, publishing…. this is all part of who I am and what I do for a living …. but listen!, catching up on my email has been nothing short of a nightmare. Christmas is coming and it seems all the companies have got hold of my email address ’cause there were like 500 emails waiting for me. Most of them junk! Really, if I get one more email informing me that I can get a 40% discount in ( insert shop here) I am going to go postal.
Anyway, I am sure my students have been checking my site to see if I have published their last oral test as promised. Here it is guys! Sorry to keep you waiting !
The topic: Fashion and Trends
First of all, three nice pictures you need to use as an excuse to talk about the given topic

and now some questions to talk about. Time to show off, guys!
Tired of always looking for exercises for different grammar points I have started putting together everything
I need, related to a certain point of grammar, on the same page.
Today I have uploaded The Passive. On the same page I have put together Grammar and Exercises for pre-intermediate/intermediate levels. Exercises cover practice for:
♥ basic and more complex tenses,
♥ active to passive and the other way round,
♥ questions in passive sentences,
♥ sentences with two objects,
♥ the prepositions by and with,
♥ impersonal passive (it is said/believed) ,
♥ be supposed to
♥ have sth done
Hope it is as helpful to you as it is to me.Now, I can safely take them to the computer room, ask them to go to this url where they’ll find everything they need to work on. Very useful too, to do as homework or revise just before exams at their own pace.
Click on the picture to give it a go
Below I have embedded A MentorMob Playlist with all the Grammar and Exercises already published. More will follow; I hope!
